Only Ever Years is a story about girls fighting for their own destiny. Perhaps many years from now, the society builds a school to train a group of girls to become companions or concubines of men. Freida is one of the girls, she doesn't feel beautiful enough and adding to the pressure is seeing her friend Isabel change. When the boys arrive to chose their brides, things only get worse, is Freida really finding her true love? Or is it all just a illusion? I think something everyone can relate from this book is insecurity. Everyone has their own insecurities, but we need to learn to overcome them and grow stronger through our fears. Only Ever Yours is a pretty unusual book and it's actually kind of creepy to think about how our world can actually be like this in the future. It's frightening to think that girls are actually taking medicine and bringing things to such extreme measures just to be chosen by a wealthy man. We should appreciate and love ourselves for who we are and don't judge people based on their appearance. This book might be kind of dark, mysterious and frightening, but it definitely portrays some part of the society and also really intriguing.

maggies20's book review was featured in The Here and Now.
The Here and Now is a truly epic, fascinating book. In this story, the Earth has been invaded by terrible diseases and natural disasters, so people used their advanced technology of time travel to go back to the past, where none of these tragedies started. Those who came back cannot tell anyone their identity and follow a set of rules to prevent causing any panic for the present people. Prenna is one of them to travel from the future, she always follows the rules and understands the consequences if she doesn't. However, recently, she starts to discover more secrets about her community and family. Prenna needs to solve this mystery and save the world, but can she proceed without hurting anyone including her love Ethan? I think this book is exciting and thrilling. There are many unexpected plot twists and all the actions are described well. It also gives the readers a lot of space for imagination. Time traveling is a pretty popular and common topic, but the way it's used in The Here and Now is creative and fun.

It's Not Summer Without You, this is the second book for The Summer I Turned Pretty. After that summer, everything changed, Susannah is gone, Conrad disappeared and Belly miss being with them more than anything. To get Conrad back home, Belly, Conrad and Jeremiah both arrives at the Cousins Beach again. It feels like everything gone back to where it was before, but Conrad's hatred and Jeremiah's love makes things more complicated for Belly. I really enjoyed the second book, because i was very curious about what happened after the first one. I think there were a lot of unexpected plot twists, such as Conrad disappearing and his reason for it. Also how things turned out with Jeremiah and Belly. One strength of this book is how it occasionally changes the perspective, for most of the book, the story is told in Belly's point of view. However, occasionally, the author tells parts of the story from Conrad or Jeremiah's perspective. This gives the readers a better idea of how each character feels. Overall, I think this is a really great book, and it really deserves to be read. :)

maggies20's book review was featured in Truly Madly Famously (Famous in Love).
Truly Madly Famously is the sequel for Famous in Love. After Paige makes her decision and starts her sweet dating life with Rainer, she finds more problems than she had been expecting. Hollywood life is glamorous but also some unexpected drawbacks such as her loss of privacy. Whatever she does, wherever she goes, there always seems to be people watching. Paige also finds herself trying to hide her feelings for Jordan. Will Paige be able to figure out her heart and stay a Hollywood star? This story is all about romance, fame and friendship. This is a very entertaining book, it gives the readers an idea about what it feels like being a public figure. Sometimes things and people aren't what they seem to be. Living under everyone's attention can give you power to effect the world, but it's also tiring to stay perfect all the time. So I really like how the author showed the both sides of young Hollywood. Therefore, this is an awesome book, especially if you dream of being a celebrity someday!

We'll Always Have Summer is just as exciting and amazing as the previous two books. I think this book is very emotional, intense and surprising. Belly and Jeremiah started dating, and after two years, they've decided to get married. Even though everyone else thinks that they're making a mistake, the two lovers is determined to make this choice. However, what Belly doesn't realize is that her feelings for Conrad never disappeared. After one Christmas at the Cousins, Belly finds her love for Conrad coming back piece by piece. But Jeremiah has always been there for her! So Belly is absolutely torn, she has to make a choice between these two boys, or lose them both. I'm really satisfied about how the ending turned out, it really met the expectations of the readers. This book teaches the readers a lot about how to face the problems in life, such as how to overcome the pain when you lose people you love, also following your own heart. In the end, Belly had to follow her heart, because she's the only one capable of deciding her destiny. So I really love this series and recommend everyone to read it.

P.S. I Still Love You is the second book of To All The Boys I've Loved Before, and it is absolutely fabulous. After Peter and Lara Jean finally stops all the drama and starts dating, another dramatic plot twist challenges their relationship. An very private video of them got released into the public media. Even though Peter promises to protect Lara Jean, she still starts to feel unsure about them being together. To make things worse, Genevieve, Peter's ex-girlfriend and Lara's ex-best friend, starts relying on Peter because of some family issues. Peter feels like he has the responsibility to take care of Genevieve, but it just makes Lara feels betrayed. Just when Lara feels all alone, her old crush, John starts hanging out with her. With Peter and Genevieve's complicated relationship and sweet John by her side, can Lara and Peter work it out? After I read this book I learned about how somethings will never change. For example, even though Peter broke up with Genevieve and he loves Lara, but the connection between them will always stay. This is why Peter felt like he had responsibility to take care of Genevieve. Same for Lara Jean, she and Genevieve used to be best friends, even though they became sort of enemies afterwards. However, Lara can't hate her and I'm sure Genevieve misses their friendship too. Some relationships might never be able to go back to where it was before, but there will always be memories and feelings that connects people together forever. This is a very special book and especially suitable for teenagers. :)
