I highly recommend this book for someone with a strong heart. This is such a good book that we can all relate to. It shows a different perspective on life that we have all experienced and seen through this view. So get your box of tissues ready and open the book and experience the new world of August. Enjoy!Almost 10 years agokendork added a book review.
**Possible Spoiler Alert** This honestly the best book I have ever read!! I could ramble on for hours and hours about this book. But to sum it up its a tear-throbbing novel with a happy end that shouldn't of been. When you see the world through the eyes of Caitlin, you immediately become intrigued and it becomes impossible to put the book down. It really explains the true meaning of closure and how it can be precised. Sometimes we think we really know it all but do you really? Spend some time in the shoes of a special needs girl going through a hard time. Which she doesn't really understand. Everyone else may think they are helping but they are only looking through one perspective. I just love how the show that an art teacher can really bring out the passion in one girls life and help her find closure to only realize everyone else needed the one thing they were trying to give Caitlin. "Closure!"Almost 10 years agokendorkliked a comment in Mockingbird.
The main character is 10 not 11. That's all I can think of to say. What I thought of it: I liked Michael. He was pretty cool. I liked Catlin's dad too, but he could be a little impatient with her. Catlin was funny at times. I didn't like how the author capitalized things that aren't purposed to be capitalized like Get It, and Deal With It. The whole Look At The Person thing confused and annoyed me at times, but I guess that's just how she thought of things. There were no quotation marks in the entire book. All the quotes were in italics. That REALLY annoyed me, but I guess I understand why the author did that. Catlin seemed a bit bratty at times, but that was ok. I know I'm supposed to love this book because it's about a girl with Asperger’s, but I just couldn't really get into it. Overall it was ok, but I don't understand why everyone thinks it's so amazingAlmost 10 years agokendork has read this book.

I will have to be honest the acting in this movie isn't the best and could be better. Although this movie clearly states its theme. It also makes your emotions flow. Overall the movie is lovely. I just love how its a true story it makes everything better. It also shows you the good things people do in this world. I love how the saved the dolphin and they always fight there way through there hurdles and never even think of quitting. You gotta love this movies theme!Almost 10 years agokendork replied to a comment in
