I'm surprised that the world premier for The Smurfs was in Spain since the Smurfs are originally from Belgium. That'd be a little like the world premier for the new Donald Duck movie being in Mexico.

This 639 year long song was written by John Milton Cage Jr. The same guy wrote a "song" called 4'33" (4 minutes and 33 seconds). During that whole "song," not a single note is played. That's right, you sit to see an orchestra play and they do nothing. He's a bit of a strange guy. But, as the article says, even he wouldn't have guessed that someone was going to make his song play for 639 years.

But then you'd have to look for the world's tallest man to date. Where's the fun in that?

Of COURSE more are going to fall, there are tons of satellites orbiting the earth. Most of them will burn up as they fall to the earth and be little more than a pretty trail of sparks for amateur astronomers to see. What was unique about this case was that we weren't sure where the satellite was going to fall. Normally NASA can pinpoint the area one of these bad boys will fall to within a football field or two. It's pretty crazy to think that this was only a 6 year old satellite. I'd have thought they would last a lot longer than that.
