I loved that movie. It was very exciting and adventurous. I loved how cliffhangy it was with the" to be continued" sign. You should watch it too. I haven't watched the second one yet, though.

The cinematography is splendid and truly amazing. The whole series is a work of art, and the fight scenes are fast and quick. Although the elf Tauriel was not in the book, I have come to accept her as part of the story and appreciate her character. Her relationship with Kili will make the finale all more heartbreaking. You must watch the first Hobbit movie, and yes, that is mandatory. Smaug's voice is so regal, haunting, but utterly magnificent. Be prepared for a chilling cliffhanger as you anticipate the ending, The Battle of the Five Armies. Get ready for a ride.

Was good but didn't expect Smaug so soon. Would think he'd be in the last movie. :)
