"What is it with Mexicans and death!?" The Book of Life was about a boy called Manolo who has to win the heart of a girl named Maria. If he doesn't, and his friend Jacquin gets it, the lord of the Land of the Forgotten will take control of the Land of the Remembered. This was a great movie, in my opinion. Being half Mexican, I understand the plotline and most of the jokes completely. My parents and sisters were entertained, which almost never happens, and we were dieing of laughter every 5 seconds. I loved the style and animation, and while it was obvious Manolo would win Maria's heart, I still loved every second of this movie. The seconds were catchy and great and I still sing them.
