Maleficent (2014)
A beautiful, pure-hearted young woman, Maleficent has an idyllic life growing up in a peaceable forest kingdom, until one day when an invading army threatens the harmony of the land. She rises to be the land's fiercest protector, but she ultimately suffers a ruthless betrayal – an act that begins to turn her heart into stone. Bent on revenge, Maleficent faces an epic battle with the invading King's successor and, as a result, places a curse upon his newborn infant Aurora. saffraredover 9 yearsI love all the stories that tell the background of the villains in classic fairy tales, especially because the villains usually turn out simply misunderstood. This movie is awesome, if a little sad. I hated it when Maleficent was being tortured, it tore my heart out.

This movie is really amazing! Angelina Jolie is one of my favorite actresses, so that set me off to a good start! If you like action fantasy movies with a hint of romance then this is the right movie for you. I love to watch this movie over and over again and I think it will become a classic. This is pretty much Sleeping beauty except backwards. It focuses in on Maleficent, the evil sorceress from Sleeping Beauty. It actually shows that she used to be good and how she became evil. She also used to have wings. It also tells Aurora's tale, just from a different angle. This shined a new light for how I think of Sleeping Beauty. I recommend this movie but I must warn you that some parts are sad.
