I absolutely love this movie and I always will. While it may have “dark tones” in some perspectives, in others, it is a sad, emotionally in-depth understanding movie. With the beautiful artistry and message, it really is a work of art. The people who complain that their children got scared obviously either didn’t bother to tell their children what’s really happening, or just didn’t get it. Sorry, you have a privileged life, Susan; your kids have to be exposed at some point; might as well make them feel comfortable with it. Also, why didn’t you read the reviews of the movie before you watched it with your four-year-old? Yes, they got scared. But you’re the one who let them watch the movie. Anyways. This movie goes into the life of Riley. She’s in a happy place, she loves her life, she has a best friend, and she’s on a hockey team. (Good for her). But unfortunately, she has to move to San Francisco. When Riley moves there, everything falls apart, and to her, she loses everything. She’s away from all of her friends, and she thinks that they are moving on without her. They still have each other, but she doesn’t have them. Her dad is always busy, she has to go to a new school, people are trying to make her feel better, but no one is asking her how she feels. She loses everything. She feels empty. There is nothing left that can make her happy. She isn’t suicidal, Katherine; she feels sad and lonely. To her, she is alone; she always will be. Unless she goes back to her roots. She takes her mom's card and buys tickets, yes, but she’s doing it as a last resort. She feels as though going back is the only way she is able to be happy again. But she stops. She feels emotions, she feels what's left her. She is sad, but she’s also scared, and disgusted, and angry. She doesn’t want to be alone; she stops. She goes to her parents, and she finally, finally, feels happy. This shows you don’t have to bottle up your feelings. You don’t have to be just happy, or sad, or angry, or even disgusted. You can feel everything at once, and that’s ok. Everything will be ok.

Inside Out is an absolute masterpiece! This Pixar film takes you on an emotional rollercoaster through the mind of an 11-year-old girl, Riley, as her emotions—Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust—navigate her life’s challenges. The animation is stunning, and the voice acting is top-notch, especially with Amy Poehler as Joy. It’s a beautiful mix of humor and heart, with a powerful message about understanding and embracing all emotions. Inside Out is a must-watch for all ages—an imaginative, emotional, and life-affirming journey!

Riley is a happy, hockey-loving 11-year-old Midwestern girl, but her world turns upside-down when she and her parents move to San Francisco. Riley's emotions -- led by Joy -- try to guide her through this difficult, life-changing event. However, the stress of the move brings Sadness (Phyllis Smith) to the forefront. When Joy and Sadness are inadvertently swept into the far reaches of Riley's mind, the only emotions left in Headquarters are Anger, Fear, and Disgust. This movie is great! It is super cute!

Riley is just a regular eleven year old girl. But the emotions inside her head have big impacts, and we see that through this movie. Joy and Sadness falls from headquarters, and no emotion can replace her. She becomes mean, gets in trouble, and ends up trying to run away. This one of my favorite movies ever!

Have you ever wondered what goes on inside your head? Well, this movie hilariously gives you the answer. Riley hasn't found growing up very easy, especially when her family moves to San Fransico. But she's not alone. Inside her head are five emotions: Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust, and Sadness. Inside her head, they help her make her decisions every step of her life. So, when there is a malfunction in Headquarters, Joy and Sadness set out to fix it. Meanwhile, though, Anger, Fear, and Disgust control Riley which makes Riley depressed and constantly anger. If Joy and Sadness don't fix the problem quickly, Riley will forever be lost in her own emotions. I LOVED this movie! This movie took such an interesting and fun take on what happens in your brain. There were a lot of details that made the movie creative and fun. I thought this movie was fun, heart-warming, funny, and a great movie altogether. This movie is relatable too. I think every teenage kid could relate to Riley in one way or another. I strongly suggest this movie. Happy watching!
